Engineered specifically for Real Fyre APK-15 and APK-17 valve models, this deluxe RF remote system operates on a non-directional 20-foot radio frequency signal, meaning you don't have to aim it like a TV remote or perform any particular ritual to get it to respond. Point it anywhere in the room and let the radio frequency do the work.

Precision Flame Control & Thermostat Convenience
The real star of the VR-2A is its variable flame height control. Rather than toggling between blazing inferno and barely-a-flicker, you can dial in exactly the ambiance you're after — a lively crackling presence for a winter gathering or a low, intimate glow for a quiet evening. The integrated thermostat lets you set a target room temperature anywhere between 45°F and 99°F, so your fireplace can maintain your ideal comfort level automatically.

The backlit LCD display shows both the current room temperature and your set target temperature, readable in either Fahrenheit or Celsius. The transmitter features clearly labeled ON/HI and LO/OFF buttons alongside MODE and SET buttons for easy navigation — no advanced degree required.

The VR-2A kit includes the transmitter, receiver unit, heat shield box, standard wire harness pre-wired for APK-15 systems, four AA batteries for the receiver, and two AAA batteries for the transmitter. Note: If you're pairing this set with an APK-17 valve that requires new wiring, the WH-01 wire harness must be ordered separately.

The receiver operates on up to 6 VDC and is compatible with gas log sets and fireplace systems using DC servo motor gas valves, as well as models designated as -15 and -17 variable flame pilot kits.
